Linesong

Terms of use

Last changed 18 October 2026

Linesong is made by Botto Studio. You get it, and anything bought in it, from Apple's App Store, so your use of it is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with these terms. Where the two differ, Apple's agreement wins.

What you can use

You may use Linesong on any Apple device you own or control, as the App Store's own rules allow, for your own enjoyment. Please do not copy the app, take it apart, or offer it, or its packs, to others.

What is free and what is bought

Payments, refunds and Family Sharing are Apple's. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. What you have bought can be brought back on another device signed in to the same Apple Account with "Restore purchases" in the app's settings.

"Everything added later" means what we add to Linesong for as long as we make it. We cannot promise how often packs will be added, or that the app will always be available in the App Store.

The pictures and sounds

The plates in Linesong are old natural history prints and drawings, in the public domain or openly licensed. Each says who made it and where the original is kept, and the app's settings list the recordings behind its sounds and their licences. The app itself, its drawings and dots, its words, its notes and its design are Botto Studio's.

No warranty

We work to make Linesong right, but it is given as it is. What it tells you about each plate is offered in good faith and may contain mistakes; if you find one, tell us. To the extent the law allows, Botto Studio is not liable for any loss that comes from using the app, beyond the amount you paid for it.

Changes

We may change these terms as the app changes. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change matters to what you have bought, we will say so in the app.
